With the success of the recent Punk in Drublic Fest, word got out that old punks apparently shell out cash for drinking craft beer and listening to bands they enjoyed in their youth. We’re guessing that $300k per show Fat Mike was bragging about while insisting that it was just a good way to hang out with his friends may have meant great success, because we have another beer and bands festival heading our way. Yes, the same folks that brought us Punk in Drublic Fest are going for another round with the Sabroso Craft Beer, Taco, & Music Fest.
Sabroso Fest will do us one better, however, by adding gourmet tacos, Luche Libre matches, an assortment of beer for tasting as opposed to just one, and will also all ages after 4pm so the kids aren’t entirely shut out.
Headliners will be punks in the top 5 of highest net worth, The Offspring, as well as Pennywise, The Vandals, Lit, Unwritten Law, Los Kung Fu Monkeys, and presumably a few locals.
The festival will be May 5th at The Rillito Park Race Track in Tucson with festivities beginning around noon if you have the proper VIP package, and 1pm for general admission. Tickets go on sale here and will range from $29.50-59.50 or you can just take your own beer and drink at your own risk in the parking lot for free.
