So…as many of you know Facebook has been tweaking things the past year or so in regards to “pages” and “profiles” and without going in to a lot of detail the deal is we will be changing our Facebook page from an individuals profile to a page. So we are going from a person to an organization, company, whatever you call it. Going forward this will alleviate any issues with losing friends or limiting the amount of friends we can have. We now go from “friends” to “likes”.
I read this cool article today on Jenkem Magazine about more and more skaters riding odd shaped boards again and that made me smile. Lucero and Grosso, both major legends, weigh in on it and there are some awesome observations and opinions on why. To me the popsicle boards just did not speak to me, other than different graphics the decks are pretty much the same or generic and have never really had the desire to skate one, well if I could actually skate like I used to. That disclaimer is semi important. Different or weird shaped decks were the rage at one time and I am more than excited that it become the case once again, dare I say that would be rad.
For the next installment of “The Muthafuckin’ Truth”, I’m going to try and tackle one of the biggest detractors in the Phoenix music scene (and many others, I am sure!) – The common ground that is missing between bands, promoters, and venues. It’s a difficult thing to get all of these groups to agree on one level playing field, so I am going to try and break each one down, so you can get all the perspectives.
