Punk Rock Bowling: Club Shows By Angela RoseRed

This year I proudly popped my Punk Rock Bowling club show cherry with a photo pass in hand. I tried to keep my cool as I elbowed my way across the photographers pit dodging security guards and camera lenses. Honestly keeping my cool is an understatement because all I wanted to do was scream like a mad lady; not out of anger but from pure excitement. Here I was with full access to snap shots at the one festival a year that strictly gears toward the nonconformist music. I’ve attended the PRB mains stage shows before, and the energy has not been duplicated to any other concert events. Since it was my first time going to the PRB club shows, I was curious if this experience would deliver the same feel. Spoiler alert: It did and then some. In addition to this rad photo opportunity, letting loose Vegas style was also my priority. With that in mind, I focused my efforts on Saturday and Sunday night club shows at The Backstage Bar.

2016 Punk Rock Bowling: Day 2 by Mikey Kaos

After surviving and enjoying the hell out of day one it was back to the Plaza to start off day two catching Noise which was great because they were awesome on the big stage the day before. After melting a bit by the pool it was time to head over to the festival and get things going.
Negative Nancys were first up on the stage and like I have said many times it is great getting to see bands that I have never had a chance to see or are new to me. Loved being able to check them out and I hope they make it to AZ sometime soon. Be Like Max were up next and these dudes know how to work a crowd with their Ska/Punk sound and the singers desire to get as close to the crowd as possible. Nothing gets a crowd going like that kind of thing. Night Birds took the stage next and kept that energy going, these guys are so good live, seriously I hope to catch them again in the near future. If you get a chance to then be sure you do.
