By now, I’m sure everyone here is quite familiar with Fat Wreck Chords and the ever-so-colorful Fat Mike. Some of us may even be familiar with how it began and the hundred plus bands that have touted the Fat Wreck seal of approval on one or all of their releases. The alumni list is pretty hefty, particularly if you include subsidiary labels Honest Don’s and Pink & Black, which unfortunately, were barely mentioned in this documentary. I have more complaints being a terminal curmudgeon, but we’ll get to those later.
Back on October 1st, yes we are a bit behind, we had the chance to shoot The Gaslight Anthem along with Against Me! when they played at the Marquee Theater. Overall it was a good show, lots of people made it out for a Wednesday night.
Day 3 of Punk Rock Bowling is the day look you forward to with some reservation, it is another great day and night of music but it is also the last day so that is always stuck in the back of your brain as you go about your last day of shenanigans.
The festival started off with a really good set by Rats In The Wall, my first time seeing them and they are really good.
Passing though town on their way to Punk Rock Bowling, Against Me! made a stop at the Nile Theater and thanks to the Kollective we got to give away some tickets and take a few pics.
