By now, I’m sure everyone here is quite familiar with Fat Wreck Chords and the ever-so-colorful Fat Mike. Some of us may even be familiar with how it began and the hundred plus bands that have touted the Fat Wreck seal of approval on one or all of their releases. The alumni list is pretty hefty, particularly if you include subsidiary labels Honest Don’s and Pink & Black, which unfortunately, were barely mentioned in this documentary. I have more complaints being a terminal curmudgeon, but we’ll get to those later.

Bad Cop Bad Cop at Rebel Lounge

The Crowd: Reminiscent crowd rants spoken through the lens of a randomly boisterous, awkwardly social, music fiend.

 

On Tuesday, June 23rd Bad Cop / Bad Cop made their third stop on the Not Sorry record release tour to the Rebel Lounge. They brought along tour support Decent Criminal from California. The turnout for the show was not the greatest, but where the crowd lacked in numbers, the music made up for it.

Bad Cop/Bad Cop is a band I have been able to catch a few times the past 2 years both here in the valley and in Vegas and each time the California Pop Punks have made fans by playing catchy melodic tight music on the stage and then hanging out afterwards to thank everyone that showed up and through some serious touring and hard work they now find themselves ready for more thanks to Fat Mike and having the courage to take a chance and invite him to a show.

Punk Rock Bowling 2014 Day 3

Day 3 of Punk Rock Bowling is the day look you forward to with some reservation, it is another great day and night of music but it is also the last day so that is always stuck in the back of your brain as you go about your last day of shenanigans.

 

The festival started off with a really good set by Rats In The Wall, my first time seeing them and they are really good.
