I scored a copy of this movie straight from the filmmaker himself, Billups Allen out of Tucson, whom you may also know from his zine, Cramhole, or his radio show, Groove Tomb. This documentary covers 11 records store clerks/ owners from 4 major cities in the US discussing their love/ hate relationship with the job, their deep rooted love for the dying vinyl format, etc. Most of the folks being interviewed are the standard snarky, self-righteous sorts you’d expect behind a record store register, but that gets balanced out by the few that would probably suck a hobo’s dick for a first pressing in mint condition and speak of only the best reasons to be a wax collector. If you’re a vinyl nerd, this is definitely worth a watch.
