We try to keep up on album reviews here, but obviously suck at that. Regardless, we still listen to everything despite rarely getting around to writing about it or managing to get the writers to actually turn stuff in. We’re a fucking punk zine, what did you expect?

Bad Cop/ Bad Cop
Fat Wreck Chords (2015)
Bad Cop/Bad Cop is a band I have been able to catch a few times the past 2 years both here in the valley and in Vegas and each time the California Pop Punks have made fans by playing catchy melodic tight music on the stage and then hanging out afterwards to thank everyone that showed up and through some serious touring and hard work they now find themselves ready for more thanks to Fat Mike and having the courage to take a chance and invite him to a show.
When I first heard these rascals’ music, this country of ours was going through a rough patch, with polyvinyl chloride pretty scarce, so many records were being pressed into round sheets of chocolate overseas.
If we was lucky, on a typical summer afternoon here in Phoenix, we’d get three or four good plays at home before that new Drunk and Horny release melted well enough to easily eat it up with a big spoon.
Only several years later, when I heard one of the duo’s releases on a medium other than chocolate, did I discover I didn’t actually have to be drunk and horny to enjoy the music.
