There is nothing quite like a mix tape to kick off an Arizona summer! We’ve got plenty of new and well-loved songs from some of our favorite locals along with some from-somewhere-else jams to get your crusty asses primed and ready for the sweaty times ahead.
On March 31st, horror punk heroes Sugar Skull Explosion will be releasing their first full-length album, “The Wolves of Space Awaken”. They will be performing at The Trunk Space that same evening in celebration of this historic occasion.
Joining them will be…
The Slow Poisoner: San Francisco rock n’ roll macabre master.
Diners: The Brian Wilson of our time.
Sturdy Ladies: Garage rock supergroup.
$7. All-ages. No drugs, no alcohol.
Dog Party (Sacramento, Asian Man Records/BURGER RECORDS)
Fresh off a tour opening for Green Day, sisters Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles blend the poppy rock ‘n’ roll of Shonen Knife and Cub, the alt rock of ‘90s bands like Veruca Salt and The Breeders, and early pop-punk of bands like Tiger Trap and Bikini Kill.
Sneeze Attack (Sacramento)
This band exists in the little-visited place were pop punk, twee rock, and fuzzed-out garage intersect. And it’s all done with a nod to Phil Spector-style ’60s rock.
Sugar Skull Explosion
The greatest father/daughter horror punk band of all time.
Sturdy, stable, mighty and mean rock n’ roll.
In the Trunk Space basement!
All-ages, no drugs, no alcohol, respect the space!
