This was a good night and show to officially celebrate having alcohol back and available at The Nile, that is of course if you happen to partake in alcoholic beverages. If you don’t then just forget that I mentioned it. But anyway for us that do it was a good thing, no need to leave a show and walk to the nearest bar. All about convenience right?
This show was one I was looking forward to since hearing about it months ago from some guys in The Adolescents and the fact that The Weirdos were also going to be on the bill made it even better. Two legendary bands touring together and making a stop in the valley was too much to pass up even on a Tuesday night.
First I have to say that was a GREAT show! Excellent job by Ben, the folks at the Yucca and the PBR people, I really don’t think they could have done a better job in coordinating everything and pulling it off. There are now high expectations for next time people…I kid, but seriously yeah.
Let Them Know: The Story of Youth Brigade & BYO Records
BYO Records (2009)
After months of trying to score a free copy with no luck I decided to suck it up and buy this for myself because I just could not wait any longer to get one. I guess you would call this a coffee table book but it is much more because you not only have the 100+ page book but you also get a double LP, gotta love vinyl, a CD just in case you are a tool and don’t have a record player and a DVD documentary of the book.
